The Life of Saint Paul

Three stained glass windows depicting the Life of Saint Paul. The design incorporates the significant events from the life of St Paul, starting with his early life and conversion in the left hand panel. The central panel includes his preaching to a gathering and the right hand panel will show him imprisoned and also the shipwreck in Malta, and a reference to the story of him visiting and resting at what is now known as ‘Paul’s Grove’, on Portsdown Hill. The three scenes are linked by references of his journeys by land (above) and by sea (below) and show ‘safe signs’ of the early Christians to mark safe houses and shelters for the early Christians.
